my dads chevelle
Well after years of restoring the car my dad finally got it back on the road. Here's a little history on it. My dad bought it brand new in 1966. After that he got married and eventually his now ex wife got into a wreck in the car damaging the back quarter panel. Well they didnt have the money to get it fixed and my dad had just joined the airforce. So the car sat outside and just began rusting on the back end. Not really sure what happened but when my dad got back from basic training and being stationed in Texas they ended up getting divorced. She got the house and everything and my dad took the car lol.

Fast forward to now....dad remarried and all that good stuff. The car sat in our garage for approx 15 years untouched. In the mean time he had a 76 stingray he bought and tinkered with for a while. Finally ended up selling that car to finish the chevelle. Took like 5 years to do so but damn it looks good. Right now all i have is final pics of the car.....i have to see if I can dig up the progress photos.

Don't foget to put those hood clips in before you take it on the road. Or your restoration will be set back a few notches. Looks really sharp though. I think it is just really amazing that it is still a one owner vehicle.

lol yea the hood pins will be put back in...no worries about that. It still has some issues with the paint that he's not happy about but unless you know what your looking for it looks amazing. Right now it sits a little over 500hp. this winter we will be putting on some edelbrock aluminum heads, beefy cam, and possibly 2 4bbl 750 hollys. edelbrock guaruntees(sp) 611hp to the wheels with the upgrades we are doing
