Old girl>>>like a rock
Well this is my 88 S10 Blazer 4X4, 219,000 miles. I have spent many hours under her hood and under her frame but it's worth it because I love her. My wife is jealous..lol...she says that I spend to much time with my old girl friend.
Anyhow the paint is original but the top half needs to be painted, the gray is faded and the clear is starting to come off. I will paint the top half after this hunting season. My Girlfriend runs great with plenty of get up and go, it is original and all mostly stock. No rust or bodywork. Sometimes its hard to keep it running the way I want it to, but aww the labor of love makes me happy. She has 99% AC-DELCO parts on her. Truthfully I have found for some reason she likes original parts replaced. Every time I use an off brand part she rejects it pretty soon...go figure. Anyhow definitely LIKE A ROCK she is.

Good lookin 1st gen!
I hear a lot on here about folks having trouble with aftermarket parts. Is this mostly with the 1st gens, or 2nd gens as well? I put o'reilly auto parts stuff on mine with NGK platinum plugs when I did the tune up. Nothings gone wrong yet... should I be worried?

I'll remember that thanks "No AutoZone Wires". I usually dont buy from there anyway unless they have a good deal going on my oil brand, Since I can buy AC Delco oil Filters again I might purchase those there as well. From what else I've read, these trucks like delco dist caps and not much else.
