Why do all of the jeeps have bars going from the front fenders to the roof?

They are "limb risers". The Jeep guys install them so the little branches won't scratch their paint. haha

I had them on my CJ a few years back... They work great until you try to lift a limb that's too heavy, then they tear the ***** that hold the windshield up out of the dash.

Diaita, I might have missed you explaining while I was away, but what happened to your rear fender flares?

I pulled the rear flares off because the tires kept rubbing them pretty hard. I'm going to move the rear axle back an inch or two and trim the bumper cap to clear the tires better. Then I'll clearance, and re-install the flares.
