Mines on the roof with a magnet... I found this antenna on the side of the road ..

wire is cut but i think i could fix it

Dudes, those are sooooo 20th century... Nowadays (coming from a trucker) nobody uses those anymore, everyone uses VHF radios. The range is 20x higher, and you will actually hear more than just the odd hillbilly on them.... Just sayin'

But they look cool still.

You can get decent VHF radios on Ebay.

I only use mine when we're on the trails with my buddies to talk truck to truck. Don't think I'll ever be using it for long distance communication lol.

I have both in my tractor. Once in a while I hear someone on the CB, usually just a hillybilly with one telling the trucker that its OK for me to change lanes in front of him. Most all traffic warnings come on the VHF. I leave the CB on ch19 all the time, actually I have never changed channels come to think of it. I can go 1000km and maybe hear someone on it once. The VHF has so much traffic I turn it down.

if u notice mine is a 10,11,12 meter radio with fm and 250 watts
