Show off your aftermarket tail lights!

No offence at all, I was just thinking out loud. Thanks for the compliment c5demon!
I was looking at a few Blazers that have LED tail lights around my area, and they just don't have a lot of difference between the park and brake/signal light output. That said, they are most likely cheap eBay lights that are hit and miss at best.
I have LED ovals on the Jeep for tail lights and they go from about factory brightness for the park light, to retina burning when I signal/brake.
I was thinking VHT Nightshade on the housing to knock back the intensity, and hide the internals.

These aint Blazer tails, but this was my unique idea for my pickup. Not sure if if would work with black, but it will work nice with colors, especially white.
Remove tails
Sand off the DOT raised lettering
Scotchbrite pad the snot out of them
Spray body color once
Spray body color twice
Spray body color a third time
Spray body color a fourth time
Spray clear coat a couple times
Put back on the truck
And lookie here... Phantom tail lamps
Then my neighbor did this
So I got a set of these and did the same paint trick on them

You know your brake lights are bright, when you get a lady come to the parking lot where you are and say "I think your brake lights are stuck on, it might be a wiring problem" then you tell her "really, can you go back and look while I press my brakes" and then you press the brakes and she comes back to the window and says "oh...oh my... those are incredibly bright, I thought they were stuck on because the running lights are as bright as other peoples brake lights"
