2" Body Lift: Beat My Price
#1
As you all know the old budget ain't what she used to be what with the world ending and all. When it comes time for my government to collapse and for me to flee into the wilderness... I will want a 2" body lift to make life easier. That all being said, I am insufferably cheap. I have come across these two listing for a 2" bofy lift:
$186.60 Free shipping is a bonus, out of stock is not....
and
$199.75 and +$11-$19 shipping....
anyone sitting on a site with a better deal? hook a brother up!

That seems right on par with everything I've seen in the way of BL's. Be aware though that the cheaper ones (in the 200$ range) tend not to come with gap guards. You have to purchase them separately. Not sure if thats a big deal to you or not.
Why not spend $60 and pick up a set of shackles instead of a BL? Or do you already have plans for that...?

go find about 12 hockey pucks, trim them to desired size, got to home depot and find some long bolts. and hope for the best lol.
haha just joking. I think around $200 is a base price. I think anything lower and you might be getting ^^^ lol. plus it all comes with bumper relocation brackets, fuel line extenders, etc.

I didn't have to use the fuel extension on my truck. Also what kit comes with gap guards? After I did my BL, I really didn't need the gap guards so right there I saved some $$$. I purchased my BL on ebay.

I've seen a bunch of $300+ kits come with gap guards included. You're right though, they're not necessary. I was just mentioning it in case Curtis planned on using them.

I wouldn't mind getting one of these and a 6 in lift kit
lol
lol

Sure, no problem. Just fork over $2500 for the 6" lift. lol

On my '91 blazer, I started with "Add-a-leaf" springs in the rear, which recurved the leaf springs, and then cranked the torsion bars in the front, to help level it out. It's not a drastic "Lift" but it is an inexpensive place to start. I added a 3 inch body lift soon after.

For $2500 you can do WAY more than a 6" lift in the SAS department
As for the gap guards, hell those things are gone from the truck now. Seeing my header rusting away and my shocks doesn't bother me. Plus for the $60 they want for gap guards, you can fab something WAY better.
As for the shackles, I already have them, bedlined them (for S&G) and have 4 new bushings for when i do the install. I was a good little boy most of the year and want to cash in my santa bucks on something useful (see t-bar -> shackles -> BL -> Camaro Rims -> Meatty Tires -> FTW!)
all i need is the BL and Tires, so if i can keep that in the $700 neighborhood, then i should be ready to rock this summer.
So far no one can beat those listings? I know I can get like a 1974 anything lift kit and just make my own brakets, etc... but i am looking for a real 2" BL kit ready to go for under 2 bills.
