2000 LT chev blazer 4 low issues
#1
The truck used to shift fine many times to 2hi and 4 auto and back to 2 high. I made a mistake and hit 4 low today after work and now it is stuck there. Is the TCCM bad if b4 it would switch often from 4 high to 2 high and 4 auto?
Encoder?
Help?
The lights in the dash show 4 low and when I press 2 high or 4 auto the transfer case makes noises and the tccm clicks. I took off the passenger side kick panel and took out the plugs off and they seem free of corision. The service 4wd is off.

Is the 'Service 4wd' light illuminated on the dash? If so, get the TCCM scanned for codes. It is trying to tell you what is wrong.

I had the same issue once, turned out to be vacuum leak, (by the battery) if I remember right. Good Luck!!

Got the truck out of 4 lo by just playing with the buttons and trying lots and lots of times. for awhile it was stuck in N and no lights would come on on the dash or the switch panel. Finally engaged 2H. 4H and auto 4 work fine...
So
you guys think its a vaccum leak huh? hmmm....cheaper than a TCCM or encoder.
One thing-Under the hood, there is a buzzing sound sometimes when 4 wheel is engaged. If I press on a a rubber round thing near the firewall the buzzing goes away...any hints?
