Default 2004 Chevy Blazer Shocks and Struts Question.

I am not toally sure what to do here, I bought Shocks and struts Front and back, They Have no Coil Springs. Do i need to use coils? Or can i install them without coils? i have the 8th digit vin X if that helps.

All S10 Blazers used leaf springs in the back with the 2wd ones using coil springs in the front and the 4wd ones using torsion bars instead.

I don't think any had coil-over type shocks, instead using basic shock-absorbers.

To check what your Blazer should have had, you can use an official GM parts seller that allows you to input your VIN to help select parts. This is useful even if they don't sell the parts since now you can cross-reference the OEM part with other parts.

TY, I have figured it out, I went under my Blazer. There are no Coils in the 04 blazer i have, I also called the local GM dealer he looked it up for me, And did not come equipped with any coils, Just leaf springs and shock absorbers. Thanks for getiing back to me though.
