Default 31 Inch Tires

Hey Blazer Fans. I need to replace the tires soon on Penelope. What is the biggest tire I can install without suspension modifications. I'm think 31"? 2000 blazer 2 wheel drive. Thanks

Actually, the post says 30" is the biggest with no modifications needed.

I'm thinking that something called Penelope would feel much better dressed in some 14" rims with very low profile tires.

Just sayin'

So I have a story about this haha.. Yes on stock wheels 30x9.5" fits! I did it. BFG AT TA they looked great. But then I got these badass black wheels with huge lip. Rock Crawler 15x8x4.5BS i swapped them w the stock wheels. Since the back spacing was so large it rubbed everytime i turned. So I gave in and did the 2.5" suspension lift by rough country. Since I did that I upgraded to 31x10.5" and 1.5" spacers as well. But yes stock back spacing will fit 30x9.5" Reading the guys signature above mine, im not sure how he fit 33s, my 31s rub when flexing. maybe since i have flares from the jimmy sle kit.

It's because AJbert has a ZR2 that come stock with 31's and the ZR2's have larger fender openings so it's a lot easier to get up to 33's than on a non-ZR2 Blazer. He also has a body-lift and suspension lift. And if I recall correctly he did a bit of trimming too. Please correct me if I'm mistaken on this though.

so i have a 2000 blazer 4wd. So I can fit a 31 tire with stock wheels and don't have to make any suspension mods??

Holy thread-necro Batman!

If you have a ZR2, then yes. If your truck is not a ZR2 then you'll need to either trim your fender or lift about 2" to clear 31's on stock rims.
