Alright. I will get up under there in the morning and check the fluid level. If it is low can you tell me which fluid to use? Gear oil or the Dexron? Also I am going to readjust the shift lever/linkage tomorrow and make sure it is proper.

Your transfer case requires regular old Dexron III.

Dexron III is a red fluid right? I checked the transfer case and it appears to have gear oil in it.

Your xfer case has a aluminum housing, correct?
