I started my 4wd to 2wd swap yesterday. I am keeping my 4wd frame, got rid of the front driveshaft, differential, cv axles (left outer hubs it truck). NextI am going to get rid of the transfer case and the 7004r, and put in a 5spd.
I also had a set of lift torsion keys on it. I took them off and put them back in one notch off. It brought it down a lot. The fenders sit right above the tires. It looks nice. I put my blocks back in the back, now I just have to take my lift shackles off and put stock pieces back on. I will try to get some pictures and post them tomorrow.

I will probably be selling all the parts.
I am doing this because I kept running into problems with the 4wd. I had some really tight clearances and was having one hell of a time putting the remote oil filter on it. I never used the 4wd anyway. Plus, I am not a big fan of lifted trucks. It makes more sense to me to have them lowered.

he made the shackles.
its a push button tcase.
I told him to just buy a 2wd frame and swap body + motor. Right now the front is so low that with his 18's on up front you cant even fit your fingers between the fender and tire.

I don't want to sell this one and get a 2wd. I haveno rust on my frame. I have done a v8 swap to it. The interior is in really good shape. Everything works great, except the 4wd.
I am going to sell everything that I take out. The shackles are homemade and they might already be gone. The tires are all mitchmatched. They are all 31x10.50x15, they are also dryroughted pretty bad. like my brother said, it is a push button 4wd transfer case.
It sits as low as it could go right now. It was a really bumpy ride to and from work today. When I got home, I lifted it up and took a look at the front end. The lower control arms are sitting right on the bumpstop brackets. I think I need to lift it up a bit. I think I might just say f-it and bag the front end.
