Exclamation 4WD button Need help!!

I bought a 2000 blazer a couple days ago and it had the 4wd button stolen but the previous owner bought a new switch and couldn't figure out the wiring.

Anybody know what the bottom connector is for and where the wiring is supposed to connect to. The bottom connector has 4 grey wires coming out of it and the appear to be either power or ground wires. (Assumption based on past experience with larger gauge wires in vehicle applications)

Any help greatly appreciated. Absolutely nothing is happening. Transfer case is not shifting, No lights are turning on, NOTHING.

Thank you in advance.

I am trying to be patient but this problem is really bugging me. Haven't been able to find a wiring diagram or anything that shows me where these wires go. Sorry.

There are 2 exposed wires that are tied up in the same bundle as the wires going to the 8pin connector. If i touch those wires to the 4 grey wires i can get lights to start turning on. Currently i am getting the Auto4wd light and the 4LO light to turn on and when in neutral i can get the neutral light to come on. The buttons are not doing anything though.

you have the wrong switch.... i bet your unit is a 3 button np 233, not the 236, the 233 uses only the two wires on that second connector, brown and ppl/white which are the two I see in the picture.
