Default 4x4 Blues

Hi Guys
My name is OB and I own a 2000 Blazer. Ive had a few blazers and pic ups all chevys(S-10s). They all seem to have problems with the 4x4.
This one is no different.Last year I replaced the accuator under the batt. tray and fixed the problem. But I went to use it this winter and no go. I can hear something going on under the car but it still wont engage. Checked the modual under the passanger kick panel, seems clean, no corrosion. If I put it in 4 wheel low you can hear it winding out but its not engaged.
The Hayes book is not much help. When I get a warm day I'll check the vaccum hose. But if any one has any ideas I'd be gratefull.
Thanks OB

I've had this problem with two blazers.
The driveshaft was turning for the 4wd but it wouldn't engage.
I brought it to a guy and he just put in a new vacuum line for $20, now it works fine.
