Default 4x4 button lights not working

I am new to the forum and having some issues here. I have a 1999 chevy blazer 4 door 4.3 v6 with push button 4x4. My problem is my 2hi, 4hi, and 4 lo and my auto 4x4 lights on my buttons aren't lighting up. They flash when you start the blazer but that's about it. I have checked the 10 amp fuse and the 20 amp atc fuse. I have also checked wiring connections behind the passenger kick panel and also went under the blazer and checked on the transfer case for a loose plug or vacuum line, but no luck there. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Is you service 4wd light on? Have you tested the resistance of the switch and the wiring from the switch to the TCCM?

a new switch should run you less than $8 or so at a JY. just bring the multimeter.

Sorry about the previous post about it working, my wife must have done that while i was troubleshooting and misunderstood what i had said. I checked for my service 4x4 light and it is not on, i did find a spare working switch to change out, but it didn't work. I tested my wiring from the dash switch to the tccm and everything tested fine. Could this be a bad tccm by chance? I also rechecked all fuses connections vacuum lines etc... I'm just short of sending the darn thing to a GM dealer lol.

hmmm.. when you checked the TCCM did you look for corrosion on the connects? The way the A pillar is situated, and where the wires plug in, there is a running issue (from time to time) with moisture leading to corrosion in the connectionsl...

if so, clean it up as per normal...

otherwise, you might take a peak at your encoder motor 9the connections there I mean. But if that was shot it should have tripped your S4X4 light

How far off were the resistance values for each button push?
