my 99 has a problem. the 4x4 switchwill not light up. i have power to one side of the switch, it has the 4 button switchso it is w/o electric shift none of the lights light up 2h/4h/4lo auto or netural. how can i tell if it is just the switch or some thing worse. also there is no noise from the transfer caes or any indication that it is trying to engage.

well, if NOTHING on the switch is lighting up, it could be a bad switch.

is that what is wrong? no light is lit up, not even the 2HI?

 

that's right none of the lights light up but i do have power to one side of the switch. i am thinking it's a switch and have ordered one.
