4x4 issues

ok so i just bought a '00 2 door 4x4 and i'm having some issues with the 4x4... when i try to shift from 2hi into 4hi the light will blink on 4hi nonstop, same with Auto4x4 amd 4low... it will go into gear though, i tested it buy shifting into 4wheel and break-torqueing it, so i know the 4x4 is locking in but i have a hard time getting it out of 4low and the lights wont stay lit up... i dont kno, its kinda late so i dont even kno if what im typing even makes sence... but if anyone has any insight let me kno please, thanks

Im new to the forum also but I had the same problem with my 01 4x4. I found the control box on the passenger side kick panel and checked the connections. I had corrosion on the contacts so the box was cutting on and off. I cleaned the connections and put back together and have not had a problem since. Hope it helps you
