747 airplane living in my front end

Sometimes when i start out in my blazer it sounds like a 747 taking off.The noise seems to carry threw first and second possibly into third but never into drive or overdrive . it happens 2 to 3 times a week. it almost sound like it sticks in 4 low and i have the gas to the floor ... any body help..

If it happens when the engine is hot from idling it's just the normal fan noise. If it does it when the engine is cold, the fan clutch is probably going bad.

i agree, it sounds like a bad fan clutch if it last that long. mine usually stops making noise after about 5 to 10 seconds.

Yah if it wont disengage after about 1800rpm then the clutch is going bad. Mine does it spractically when the engines cold always cuts off if I let it sit for a minute or just rev past 1800. At least yours is a 747 I only have the 737,lol.
