Default 91 K5 Transfer Case ???

So I just noticed when flushing my ATF that ALL the seals/gaskets on my transfer case are RTV'd all to hell. Is this a sign of potential problems future or existing or could they have possibly been being cheap and not putting in proper seals and gaskets? I know I have the K stamped 700r4 transmission but I'm not knowledgeable enough yet to know if the transfer case is OEM or has been replaced. Any help would be appreciated.

Transfer case should be a passenger drop np241c. Should be a round tag on the back of the transfer case

Thank you. I found the tag you mentioned. It is indeed as you say. Now the big question. Do I open up the RTV'd seals and put in proper gaskets/seals or just leave it be and let it go till something gives and I have to potentially open it?

If everything works and it isn't leaking I'd leave it alone for now.
