Question 96 Bravada T-case swap Question

Hello Guys thank's for taking the time to read this. I recently bought a 96 Bravada with 184000 miles on it. It just started Clunking under acceleration about 1000 miles ago it felt like it was coming from the front.so I inspected the front end and found that 1 of the cv boots was torn and twisted so I replaced both left and right Halfshafts.Still clunking so I pulled the front driveshaft and took it for a drive and the clunking went away and so did park. it will inch out of the driveway if the parking brake is not set.I am having a hard time finding a good used t case.So what im getting at is can I swap in a transfrecase out of a 96 jimmy and the front diff since mine is always engaged? I googled doing the swap and 1 guy said it was just plug and play and that all of the connectors are there I took the cover off where the pushbutton would be and didnt see any. Thanks in advance for any info you may have to offer.

My bravada has no harnesses or vac lines for a selectable transfer case, I dont think they run any of them since they know that it can only have the one awd transfer case from the factory.

Being AWD, it will definitely not be a direct bolt in swap.

The reason for the rolling while in park is because the front driveshaft is not installed. The transfer case in your truck is a fulltime AWD transfer case. It has a dedicated 30/70 F/R torque split.

I would inspect your front driveshaft for play in the rear CV type joint.

I was thinking the same thing but it feels tight. it kinda sounds like a chain slipping. It could also be the front diff it will also do it if you hold the brake and put it in gear and lightly accelerate with the brakes on. Thanks Guys

I found one in Monroe Mi I can hardly believe the Great price $275 shipped to Kc and it only has 113,000 miles on it compared to unknown mileage T-cases from local salvage yards That are going for $400-$600. It will be here within 3 to 10 days. I hope I can get it in before the first snow Lol.

I am having the same issue with my 97 Bravada. Loud clunk from somewhere in the front end. I took the front shaft off and it also went away. I replaced all U-Joints, Front driveshaft CV Joint, and motor mounts with no luck. Next thing I'm aiming for is the transfer case. Please share how your swap went, if it treated the problem or not.
