eaton sells new ones for 450... i haven't found them for sale anywhere else and haven't asked a dealership how much they would have the chevy part for

Just last week I found a used powertrax lock-rite on ebay, installed it in a couple of hours. Couldn't be easier. I've read a lot about the noise they make, but when I was testing mine this weekend, I heard nothing. Didn't even know it was there, except that the rear axles were locked, of course. By the way, I have a 95 4 dr. ls with 3.42s and 30.5 tires.

Some ratchet more than others do... It's usually more noticable if it's in the front end...
