Default am I being taken ?

Brought my '96 blazer in for tires and alignment. Shop said they could not align it because the castor was off and they needed to install either a camber or castor kit because the OE was worn. They said once the new install is in my other numbers/degrees would line up (seemed most specs were slightly out of range). I looked in my Haynes manual and didn't see any info on this part. The new part would have cams/lobes on it vs the original were bolts. Anyone hear of this? It was my first time at this tire shop. Shop looked nice and has a good reputation.

yah cam adjusters kits are real. They should look like bolts that are ground flat the length minus the treads and have washers on both ends that arent centered on the bolt.

That "kit" is your upper control arm bolts. They are know to wear out after a while. Some folks just tack weld the washer in place once the alignment is good. A good shop should also recommend this to you if yours are truly slipping every time you get it aligned.
