Default Bad front differential

I have a 1998 Blazer the front differential is completely trashed I've been wanting to put an Olds Bravada front differential in it I was just wondering if anybody knew if the the gear ratio is the same in the old Bravada as it is the Blazer I want to put the Olds Bravada differential in to get rid of old vacuum crap that the blazer has. Thanks in advance for any help

I always recommend checking the gear ratio just so you know for sure. You never know when one may have been changed. As for getting rid of the vacuum stuff, all you really need for the diff is the axle and tube, they retrofit to any diff. You should be aware that since you have a diff that uses slip-in CVs that you'll want the slip-in type from a similar model. The earlier diff used a bolt on style of CV. Just something to be aware of.

Look at your rpo codes to find out what gear ratio you have. There are many different ones available
