Ball joint replacement

Default Ball joint replacement

I am replacing my ball joints and can seem to get them to pop lose of the hub. I seen a video and he took the axle nut off. He was replaceing the back plate too so idk if thats the problem with my case. So im asking do i have to remove the axle nut to replace my ball joints. 2000 blazer 4xr zr2

no. Without a balljoint fork you can try this. take a hammer and give the steering knuckle a good whack on the side right where the balljoint goes through. or put the nut partially back on and smack the nut to get it to pop out

Man iv been beating the living **** out of it with a hammer and pickle fork and still cant seem to get it to pop out. I have all the bolts out and whatnot.
