Default Best gear ratio for 31s?

As the title says, whats the best gear ratio to fit 31 inch tires? I have a 95 4 door jimmy with a lift and 31s running on 3:73 gears. I just want more get up and go

I'm running 3:73s with 31s and I don't have any issue with its acceleration. You have to remember that its a heavy SUV not designed to be fast particularly when you start to modify things like putting heavy tires on it. If you really want to change out the gearing you could just up to something like 4:10s and that may give you the desired "get up and go" you are looking for! Also don't forget that lower gearing means less mpg's so if that's a concern for you keep it in mind

I'd go with 4.10 gears.

The lowest I would go is 4.10 if you do mostly city or off-road driving. If you do a lot of mixed highway driving with the occasional off road excursion and are concerned about your MPG then the 3.73 gears are quite well matched to 31x10's. I think with 31's and 4.10 gears your highway cruising RPM would be fairly high.

Try manually shifting your tranny when you want more acceleration. I would stick with the 3:73's but if you just gotta spend some money go with 4:11's.

Lots of pavement, looking for mileage, 3.73 for sure, even stock 3.42 gearing is good with 31s. But, 4.10s would give you the "more get up and go" you are looking for since you already have the 3.73s.

ZR2's came stock with 31's and 3.73's from the factory.

That said, if you really want to spend the money, 4.10's would be better all around with the exception of mpg's.
