Exclamation Brake pedal goes right to the floor

Wow, last time I visited these forums was 11-05-2013. Well, I just replaced the front rotors and brake pads on my '04 Blazer. Had to replace the rotors as I had gotten to metal-on-metal on my front brakes and the back-side of the rotors were all chewed up.

I finished the replacement job about 2 hours ago. A local shop that I take the truck to sometimes had informed me previously to let the truck sit and the pressure would return to the pedal after a short while. It's been a short while and there's still no pressure in the pedal.

I remember having the same issue the last time I did the brakes (which would've been back in 2013, the last time I visited the forums) but I can't for the life of me remember how I solved the issue.

I went back and re-read my old posts but it seems I didn't post about the issue.

Also my check engine light came on, and my reader is showing code P0016. Where's the cam/crank shaft sensor on an '04 Blazer?

dumb question but have you tried pumping the pedal? pop the calipers off and see if the piston is moving or came back to original position? is the piston stuck and the caliper all rusty etc? if the brake lite is on maybe it's just a coincidence that you have a brake line "somewhere" that is corroded and just popped? it's that time of the season for vehicles brake lines that got corroded to just go. need a little more info my friend if you can.

Master cylinder is full of fluid, no brake light is on, brake lines aren't leaking and the caliper pistons are moving. We've pumped the brakes maybe over 200 times throughout yesterday.

When pumping the brakes to bleed or refill the calipers you DO NOT push the pedal to the floor!

Well I've been driving it around and it feels like the brakes are slowly coming back, but the pedal pretty much still hits the floor sometimes. I've gotta drive up the highway to get to work all this week with my brakes like this now.

yeah ive learned that, most master cylinders only travel to a certain point for many years when you pump them to the floor the plunger is traveling past where it normally goes and can mess up the master cylinder. if youre bleeding the brakes sometimes you have no choice but after a brake job just pump the brake pedal a inch or so to push out the caliper back out
