Changing Power Steering Fluid
How do I remove the power steering fluid from my 2001 blazer. I want to replace it with all new.

the only way i know is to disconnect a line and let it all run out.

I took mine to Valvoline a couple months ago because my power steering fluid was very dark and had a burning smell. I was watching them through the waiting room window. They seemed to suck out the old fluid and then pump new fluid while sucking it out again to get rid of the residue. They also turned the wheel full left and right very fast and hard to get rid of the fluid. Be careful where you go though, because prices vary all across the board. Just down the road is another oil change place and their price was $20 less than Valvoline!!! DON'T go to Valvoline, though. They think they own every vehicle that is in their bay. I asked for green coolant for a flush just after that and they refused to put anything in but DEXCOOL because "It might cause damage". Yea right. There was a mix of green and Dexcool in it before... And the truck was already in the bay, so I had no choice.
