Clicking noise at the torsion bars

My 2000 has a soft but still noisy clicking sound related with easy front to rear slow movements. Usually the clicks are better identified in underground parking lots. You accelerate and get a click, push the brakes or se-accelerate and the click is there too. Finally I tracked the noise: is related with the Torsion Bars rear ends. If I move the regulators (the 18 mm blots) just 1/2 a turn (right or left, is the same), the clickings will be gone for a couple of days. Then, very slowly, they will be back again. The reason for that clicks (and the momentary cure) is beyond my intelligence. Any of you have an idea or experienced this annoying clickings?. I almost submerged the area in WD40 and is the same. The only cure is 1/2 turn to the regulating bolts. But is valid only for 1-2 days.

Sounds almost like you have some play in the socket that the end of the torsion bar fits into. If that is the case, I am not sure there is much of anything you can do about it...

Take a close look at the cross member bushings. They do tend to wear out and cause some noises now and then. Usually more of a clunk rather than a click, though.
If your bushings are good you could always try some new index keys if they seem to be worn out. I kind of doubt this is the problem as there is quite a bit of torque on torsion bars to moving around inside the keys themselves, though.
