LUG NUTS LOOSENED UP ON LEFT FRONT WHEEL. BROKE ONE STUD. IM VERY LUCKY THE WHEEL DIDNT COME OFF.

Decided to drive to walmart after work, which is 15 miles away. Guess I should say I have a 1992 Blazer Tahoe LT...but anyways...made it half way there...when I started hearing what I thought was just the road...but I could actually feel it...as I got closer to walmart, it got louder. Clunks either direction, fast or slow. I checked under front but without flashlight, couldnt see anything broken. So I carefully turned around just incase something was gonna break and walked her back home.

After getting up to what I thought was 55ish mps (my speedo dont work), the sound completely disappearred. Got back into town, and I could barely hear it...

Im hoping this is just wheel bearing..but any other suggestions and what to look for/at would be great!

(sounds like its coming from left front..can feel the thunps under my left foot)

did some youtube searches...finally found a sound familiar with mine...and theyre saying it the cv joint.

Bad CV Joint, Wheel Bearing, or Differential??? Anybody Know??? - YouTube

it sounds like a cv joint. if ur can feel it in ur wheel its probably that. bearings would just squeel at first. cv joints make more of the clunking sound when theyre shot, but it could be anything. wiggle ur cv axles and thats how ul tell.

BUT I DONT WANNA!!!! bah, still tired from work lastnight...have to get coveralls on...why cant it be summer again!

Problem found. Lug nuts all loosened up somehow. Broke a stud. Will replace wheel hub next week.

Not sure how they loosened up and I put all my weight on the tire iron to tighten them. (all my 140 lbs)
