Default Control arm bushings...

How difficult is it to replace the control arm bushings on a 2002 4x4.. will they press out our do you need to burn them out?

Also has anybody done this or paid to have it done? How much did it cost?

they suck. Along the lines of doing the rivets on the balljoints lol

If you dont have a air hammer/air tools. have a shop do it. I brought the arms to a shop and had em swapped out for $60

Unless you have a press and the knowledge to do it pay the 60 bucks and have a shop do it for you

Much easier to just replace the whole arm assembly. I picked one up at my local Advance Auto. (2000 4X4 upper left) Comes with balljoint and bushings already installed. Rock Auto has them also but much cheaper. I can usually get my local parts store to price match...

Seems like a better Idea to replace all of them in that case. I price out all 4 for 400 dollars @ partsgeek. shop time and alighnment will be a MF'er.....

rock auto has em for about 65ish each plus shipping. WIN! Uppers will take about a hour each,at most. lowers, well you got torsion bars to deal with. Not sure on time for those.
