control arm mystery!!
picked up a 2004 blazer 4door 4x4, while performing the rear shackle lift and the front torsion key turn up for the 31's i noticed the upper ball joints were completely shot. without looking i ran to my auto parts store and purchased some good ol' moogs (the problem solver!). so i get home excited to do some work and get the tire off to find these!!!(pictured below) so with the intense mystery of where the halibut these came from i decided to buy some stock control arms and slap them in for the time being turned the t keys untill the vehicle was 29" from floor to body (where the bumper meets fender) and slapped the 31's on it. now to solve the mystery of what to do with these control arms. i would like to find the ball joints for them and have no idea where to look. i am currently having a caster issue on passenger side causing a pull to the right but no camber or toe issues. and i have a feeling in my gut that these control arms will allow a further adjustment. any ideas forum?

Oh those are upper control arms from the Rough Country 2.5" lift kit.
I purchased them specifically for my lift. Look at my build thread to see pictures.
I'd have to check my files but I'm pretty sure the replacement ball joints for these are 1/2 chevy truck upper ball joints.
I'd suggest you use them as they have a geometry that is much better for the lift. With the stock upper control arms you get excessive wear on the ball joints because of the bad angles.
P.S. Rough Country should be able to help you out identifying the proper replacement ball joints.
P.P.S. If you need confirmation about the dimensions of the control arms, let the forum know and I'm sure some of us can take measurements to help you confirm what they are. I can also look to see what the replacement ball joints may be.

Also, it is super odd that your Blazer had these upper control arms without other lift stuff on it.
For the RC 2.5" lift, the kit includes brackets to modify the front diff along with longer shackles. Check out the the Rough Country website and take a look at what would normally come with the full kit.
Because I did not want to modify my front diff, I ordered just the upper control arms.

that all looks about right! thank you for the pictures, now i too find it odd that only the UC were left on and nothing else. i did purchase the RC diff drop kit ($65 fyi) just have not gotten around to doing the work required. the rear shackles i bough a amazon kit and used what they provided and it seems to be holding up really well (roughly 80 or more miles have been put on since install) so i will replace the upper ball joints in the control arms once I get the money to rent the press. the bushings seem ok just a little cracked but again a easy replacement just got to call RC. and I wanted to find out the maker before I went calling around randomly and attempted to search the forum but i must of not used the correct terms or something, Thank you for all your help!
