that's probably why they took the shocks out? and also why my lift is a little un even.

OK. There you go. I did find after my last first reply the wedge for the passenger side but I couldn't see the modified bracket for the driver side. (I edited my post)Originally Posted by DonL
I was looking closely at the pics he posted, and you can just make out the drop hardware for the diff. Although it does move the diff lower, it is not enough. I still had huge angles on mine after the lift. I think that's one flaw of the lift kit.
The diff has to get cut for the braket to get installed... many don't cut enough, but it is possible to cut too much. If it's not leaking from there and your grease nipple on the tie rod passes by without hitting it, then your good
And as for only the wedge being installed and not the drop bracket, it can be ran like this, but cv axles don't like it and bind alot lol... hence why I removed my front end lift, instead of cutting my cast iron zr2 diff lol
this is the differential that would be leaking if it was cut right?
this is just an oil leak?
i had to go take this pic since you mentioned leak.
if the diff was cut then i would be loosing transmission fluid right and i would notice it on the dipstick level if i couldn't see it underneath
rdr2wasdope, your last 2 pics are of the engine/transmission and that looks like an oil leak, not the diff leaking. Also, FYI, the diffs will have gear oil, not transmission fluid.
ah ok . so many fluids, oils and greases in a vehicle.
i was aware i had a small oil leak, i check my levels every time before i drive and it has gone down slightly over the past few months but its not a considerable amount.
ill have to track down that oil leak.
