Default Dana 60 swap

Ok, I wannna do the SFA. I am looking at going Dana 60 front and rear with the 1 ton suspension complete. 4.56 gears. Question 1, what donor vehicles will work for front and back. Question 2, I want to keep the 4.3 and race it out, something like the 500 HP build. But not quite that much. Do I need a new tranny and transfer case? I love my 5 speed and want to keep it manual, so if I need a new tranny I want it manual. Question 3, if I go spring over axle with 6" lift how do I calculate the new shocks it will require. Also if anyone wants to do this for me that would be great..... J/k. Im mad that it took me 9 hours to put on 2" rear shackles because the bolts were rusted and pressure welded into oblivion.

Find a set of axles from a m1008 chevy k30. they are usually around $1200 on ebay. They come with 456 gears and a detroit locker In the back. Though you will have a 14 bolt rear axle not a 60. How big of tires you wanna run? I'm thinking that leaving that trans and tcase will be the weak link

The 14 bolt is fine, I was tired and wanted to get it posted before I forgot what I was thinking about. I would like to try 38's. I realize it will require cutting so that's not an issue. I was pretty sure the tranny and T case werent gonna work. I was wondering what would be a decent fit, the SM465 tranny and the 205 T case?

yeah those would work. the 4.3 has the same bell housing pattern as a any smallblock chevy. just dont know if they will fit under the s10 body. might have to do a body lift. google around im sure its been done
