Default Dana's anyone???

Wondering if any one can I.D. these axles I had come in to work today, I'm 99% sure what they are, but want to see what everyone thinks. I'll tell you this much: I THINK they are both out of Ford's but I'm not sure, think the bigger one was a Ford motorhome.

The first picture looks like a Dana 60. The second might be a Dana 60 as well, but looks different than any other Dana 60 I've seen where the axle tubes enter the diff center section. Doesn't quite look like a Dana 70.

Right on the first one! But I believe the second pic is a big D80. From the motorhome I believe. It's amazing how many good things I see get destroyed everyday. I have another D60 I'm going to pull out of a 99 E350 that is a disc brake D60. You would'nt believe the giant Eatons and Rockwells I cut up everyday, need to find a market for those.

I was wrong on the 2nd one, it's a D70...I think, having a hard time finding a code I.D. chart though, any suggestions? Also, these are both for sale people, so if you know someone who needs one and will pick it up from NC, let's talk.

Usually with those older axles it will have what it is stamped on the bottom right just below the cover. It was say 60 or 70.

I've found this: dana 70 srw brake drum swap - CK5 Blazer Forums
This guy has the exact same numbers as mine but mine is a DRW and his is SRW. Pretty sure it's an HD D70.

i dont know if those drw 70s are really wanted. i had one off a 76 f350 and after everyone found out it was a drw no one wanted it. probably different lengths. i eventually put it on ebay and got $10 for it. probably would have made 3 times that scrapping it

wow, $10? Thats' a shame, I'm sure it's wider and the 1 piece but it's still a good axle, surely someone will want it? I don't know if it's worth the chance or not.

Sure they will, it would be ridiculously wide and stick out about 2 feet past the body on each side though, unless you had them narrowed. You can make dana's work on about anything if you know how, but I would not recommend this particular one for an S10 Blazer.
