Default Driver Side Spindle

I have a 1989 S-10 Blazer, 4.3 l V6, and I have a problem with the driver side spindle. The top threaded hole, that the caliper attaches to is stripped out. My question is: I found a spindle for a 4X2 and will it fit on a 4X4? If not any of you guys know someone selling one? Thank you very much.

A 2wd unit is not going to be the same. You should be able to pick one up in a wrecking yard, many years fit your truck. What about a Helicoil?

Default Stripped Thread

What I did was when installing the upper bolt, that the caliper slides on, I put too much torque on it and stripped out the threads on the spindle unit. I guess I will have to find one at the junk yard and install it. Thanks for the reply!

That is what I would do, getting the junkyard knuckle (spindle).
