e-brake issue
A little while ago, my e-brake stopped working properly... I can't stop the vehicle from rolling backwards anymore, no matter how far the e-brake pedal is pressed...
Going forwards, the e-brake works great, hardly need to press the pedal at all to get the truck to stay in place...
Do I need adjustment, or new pads, or what?

You probably need a shoe adjustment. Do you have rear disc or drum brakes and what's your milage on the truck?
I would start by inspecting the park brake shoes.
Do not adjust the cable.....the brake shoe adjustment is the primary adjustment and usually does the trick.
I'm thinking that you have rear disc brakes, witch means removing the calipers and rear brake rotors to inspect the parking brake shoes. If that's the case there is a star wheel adjustment in there and if the shoes are ok, adjust the adjuster a little at a time, fitting the rotor over after evry adjustment until there is the slightest drag of the rotor on the park brake shoes. Just be surenot to over-tighten the shoes as you should still be able to spin the wheel by hand.

I'm 99% sure it's disc brakes... I forget at the moment, lol.
I have about 53,500 klicks on it...
I know that after 3 - 5 clicks the truck doesn't roll forward at all on my driveway... If it's done snowing and dried up, I'll try and take a look tomorrow...

Here is a photo from Napa Online as to what an e-brake shoe looks like for the rear disc brake on an s10 Blazer this is from a listed 2003, it would not show a 2005...but they should be the same....also listed at $90

They don't show the 2005, because 2003, as far as I know is when they stopped being sold in the US...
But thanks for the info! If they're worn to poop, then at least I know I don't have to buy them from the stealership...
