FLUID LEAK 4L60E cant figure it out
1995 blazer, 2dr, 4.3L 4wd, automatic
It appears to be coming from the dipstick tube hole but I replaced the rubber seal for the dipstick tube, is there a O ring I might have missed ? Tranni works great just cant keep fluid in it. No fluid in vacuum hoses. Also fluid will not register on tranni dipstick unless it is overfull and comes out tranni vent tube. Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I replaced:
Tranni Front seal
transfer input shaft seal and gaskets
tranni filter
Pan seal
Thanks
Steve

maybe 1sttime was asking if the dipstick tube was all the way in. as in seated in the transmission all the way. its only in there with a little bit of pressure and there should be a support that goes into one of the bell housing bolt holes.

Did you make any progress on this Phil?
I'm stuck in the same boat with transmission fluid puking out from around the dipstick.
Did the intake gaskets, then it just started dumping ATF when we finally started it back up.
Pulled the dipstick, replaced the seal.
No love: Still dumping fluid.
Dipstick appears to be all the way down, replaced the seal.
If you managed to find the problem, please pass it along - I'm at my wits end over here.

leak
The dipstick seal took care of my problem. If you tranni tube is fully seated check your atf level. The transfer case uses ATF if the seal is bad between the could be running into the trani. The tranni tube cut my gasket and it was constantly running out the base of the fill tube. might want to recheck the seal. good luck, phil
