Default Four link or Leaf spring SAS???

Plan on doing a Solid Axle Swap on my 95 blazer 4 door. What kind of suspension method should I use? a four-link or one with leaf springs? I hear four links are more expensive to do and require more work that those with leaf springs. I'm not a serious off-roader I just dont like the IFS.

its a personal preference, but 4 link is a lot of work and has a lot of body roll when u take corners. id just do the coil setup that comes with the axle needed to do a sas. i did a sas on mine using a coil setup dana44 but did leafs instead, but im an avid wheeler and like leaf springs. my ride is nice, but the coils would be ur best choice. good ride, and capable of doin the job when u do wheel it. leaf springs r the easiest and less expensive.

i too am in this debate with myself. I bought a set of dana 44's for my swap but still cant decide which setup I want. I have 2 really young daughters that will go on trips with me and for some daily commute. I have been a fabricator for over a decade so i am not worried about the difficulty with the coils, its the price compared to leafs. Even if you buy brand new leafs your only looking at about 400 bucks for a good leaf setup, if that, as opposed to 6-700 for coils. My main concern is a pretty smooth ride. Ive heard that with the right leafs you can get almost as good of a ride as coils. Ive heard the skyjackers softride can help with this and even some companies will make a custom pack if you order them. I want to talk to someone that has used these leafs though before I make a decision, ive yet to find someone on the few s10 forums im on. Any insight would be great for someone that has experienced these leaf packs........ By the way I will do a full how to on the swap once I decide....

That would be awesome if you did a how to, I think I am going to do a leaf spring, much easier to do and I know someone I can get all the parts from for a good price. A buddy of mine did a leaf spring with 3/4 ton axles on a z71 and he likes it, looks good too.

mine has k5 leaf springs up front.... i cant remember if i used a 6inch or a 4 inch but i think the 4 inch anyways i pulled out the bottom two leafs out of it to lower it down a bit, its got a normal feeling ride i guess you can say its no cadi and no semi truck, somewhere in between.
