Front Ball Joints

Front Ball Joints
I have a 2003 2-dr, 2 wheel drive Blazer.
I just took it in today for an alignment.
When I went to pick it up, the guy informs me that he did the best he could but all four ball joint are bad and one of the lower ones his mechanic didn't even want me to drive on.
So he quoted me approx. $500 to do all 4 and he would most likely just redo the alignment, no extra charge.
So I'm wondering, is that fair price for this job?
I really don't know.
If I wasn't 700 miles from home right now I would just drive it to my nephews and he'd do the job and I'd probably give him $100 and a free pizza dinner.
Thanks for looking.

Well I just ordered 4 new MOOG ball joints for the front of my Blazer.
Ordered them from Advance Auto.
I had put them in the electronic cart last night on the website but I couldn't get the 20% coupon to pop again.
It was there when I first entered the site?
It's funny how you select "not now" or whatever the choice was and then when you want it to pop up once again so you can get the code and you can't find it anywhere!
So then this morning, my e-mail pops on my phone while at work with a bonus message, giving me 20%!
This is not the first time that has happened.
15% is always available at the website but i left something in the cart before and walked away.
They sent me a bonus in my e-mail.
The garage gave me a quote of about $250.00 for all four and an alignment.
They have no problem using my parts and with MOOG they are all lifetime warranty.
Being 700 miles away from home makes it hard to choose otherwise.
This is the same place that replaced my rear u-joint for $45.00, also using my part.
(Another MOOG part since I used a different discount and received 25% off with that purchase.)
I figured out that I couldn't get it all of the way off because I did not have a reliable way to press out the caps on the driveshaft.
If I had messed it up I was using a friends driveway and he was not at home.
Plus, I was about 8 miles from my hotel too.

I've had to postpone the work but I did pick up the parts.
But I'm hoping someone here can help with verifying that I have the right parts.
I can verify that the MOOG #K5208 is the upper ball joint.
While living in an hotel it's been difficult to verity the lower part.
So if someone could verify the MOOG #K6145T is the proper part?
This way I can hand over the parts when I arrange the work without thinking it might come back to haunt me.
Thanks,
Radar

I compared your p/n's to those on Rock Auto's site and they look to be correct.
Sometimes you can find decent Advance Auto Parts coupons on Retailmenot.com.. Back in the day, they used to have 40% and sometimes even 50% off $100+ coupons. Those were nice.

I will be taking it in tomorrow morning in fact to get the work done.
I would have hated to have it pushed back if I had brought the wrong ball joints.
Then it will be 2 new tires and it will be good to go in that department.
