Default Front differential low on fluid

I bought my blazer several months ago and have been slowly getting to fix the issues it had. When I bought it I noticed that the drivers axle seal was leaking, it didn't look too bad so I figured I'd get to it later.

I decided to check the fluid level yesterday, nothing came out of the fill plug and I couldn't feel any with me finger so I went to put some in it. I put a full quart in it and still nothing out of the fill plug so I'm guessin it is very low on fluid! I'm putting more in tonight just so I know it has some in there till I can fix it.

My question is, do you think I've messed something up by driving it so long? I don't know how long it's been like that since the leak was there when I bought it. I don't use 4wd very often at all, I think I've used it 2 times since I bought it and it worked just fine. It still works just fine. I just wasn't sure if it being in 2wd actually made the ring and pinion up there spin or not.

if theres no noise then its probably fine. i run into vehicles all the time that come into work with very low fluids.

I hope I didn't, I went ahead and filled it up last night. I'll just keep checking it until I can get the seal and replace it.
