Exclamation Front end grinding noise

2001 Chevy Blazer 4x4. So when I go to accelerate my blazer will make a little bit of a grinding noise. As I go faster the noise seems to speed up and get a little louder but not to loud. My radio can block the noise out. When im going about 60-65 on the highway the noise isn't to loud but if I go to turn the wheel to the left, the front passenger side will just make a terribly loud grind but right as I go to straiten the wheel back out the noise isn't barely there. Now when it started making the noise I was in 4 wheel drive. The blazer will kick into 4 wheel drive and let out. Nothing wrong with that part. but im not sure if something is grinding from my 4 wheel drive or what. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Welcome to the forum. That sounds like your passenger side wheel bearing. Especially if it gets louder on the opposite side when turning and goes away when turning the other way.

I recently had the same problem with a noise between 40 and 60. It got louder and started earlier at 35 mph. I wasn't sure what it was either but when it got so loud, I decided to gamble and try replacing the pass. side wheel hub/ bearing. Use the Moog or the Timkin. Look for my post.

I once had some front end grinding and 4x4 problems. My actuator cable had seized up leaving the gears partially intact. I have to dig in and replace the gear and spring. Hopefully that's not your case because it was a pain.

Consider your distributor bushing. If it's original from 96, it's probably worn and allowing the rotor to scrape the underside of the cap under load. With the engine idling, you can push the cap down a bit to hear the same noise without it being under load.
