front end problem

Default front end problem

i have a 1997 chevy blazer 4.3l manual trans and i have a problem with my 4x4. the transfer case engages and the front drive shaft works but there is no power at the front wheels. three weeks into snow storms and no 4 wheel drive is not a good thing here in maine. any help woul;d be greatly appreciated atleast somewheres to start will help. Thank you to whomever replies to this

Default RE: front end problem

This is a very common problem. Something is prohibiting the front axle engagment actuator from doing its job. Whether this is caused by a faulty vacuum switch on the transfer case, a bad vacuum line somewhere on the engine or a faulty actuator needs to be determined.
