Can anyone tell me what part that is that has is no longer attached. This is the front passenger side of a 96 Blazer. Thanks for any help!!help-blazer-pic.jpg

That's your sway bar end link. Before it broke, it had another set of bushings that were on either side of the bracket welded to the lower control arm that can be seen in the picture.

Thanks for the help! How safe is it to drive like this? I just noticed it about 2 days ago. dont know how long it has been like that. Is it a tough repair?

It connects your sway bar to control body motion when you turn. I would get it fixed as soon as you can. It really only takes a hammer, vice grip, hacksaw, and a couple 15mm wrenches to get both sides replaced. The replacement parts will only cost you ~$10 as well so it's best to just get at it. Your truck will handle MUCH better with it connected!
