speedometer quit working trans wont come out of 2nd replaced VSS ..did the whole process disconnecting airbags and such. WORKED PERFECTLY for about 5K... driving yesterday Speedo stopped ,won'tcome out of 2nd again... GOT A NEW VSS REPLACED IT AGAIN DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM WHAT ELSE COULD CAUSE THIS???


I would assume the ABS light is on but previous owner plucked it from the cluster .. also no codes no service engine light on...

 

Look over the vss wiring really well for nicks or cuts. Look for corrosion in the prongs of the connector
