Default Identifing Transfer Case help.

I'm looking to identify my transfer case. This is out of a 98 Chevy K1500. I've ran through the rpo codes hasn't given me much info. the case tag is missing off it. the stamping on the case is C - 16119 AG. This is going towards my project jeep. Just trying to find out what I need to do some modifications to get away from the auto trans that was put into the jeep prior to me. the jeep transfer is a 231 J so it is the orginal transfer case for the jeep..the transfer case doesn't have the right recieve for the input shaft from the manual trans

If you could post a few pics it may help. I'm no guru on transfer cases but a few pics may look familiar to others.

try rockauto.com
they usually have pictures of parts etc & you may be able to match it up.
A google search came up with NP246 NP261 NP263 so look up a transfer case for a 1998 K1500 on rock auto.

Pictures and the NP_ RPO codes would definitely narrow it down. Without those, its just a shot in the dark.
