Well, seems right where I estimated,
Around 380-390 for job, and another 60-70 for alignment. Seems normal

I've change a hundred idler arms on blazers n s10s. never seen one totally come apart. but- loose idler arm will cause vehicles total toe measurement to change every time u hit a bump which will wear tires, n cause crappy handling. super easy job to do- change it

I would suggest if you have the tools (pickle fork with 1" to 1 1/8" gap - $30 at auto store, 22mm 1/2 drive socket, 1/2 drive breaker bar, vise grips or pliers to pull the cotter pin and a 3-5lb square head mall hammer and lots of WD40 or other lubricant, jack and jack stand, you need to remove the tire to get at it).

Pitman arm wil require same with a pitman arm puller ($30-$40 buks). Doing this yourself, if mechanically inclined and have a few hours, will save you at least 350 bucks. But be careful cause if you score or damage the steering box you will be out alot more then $450. Patients is key with a pitman arm, slow and steady strain on the puller, giving it a little knock with a hammer after each turn of the puller nut. I used WD 40 on the box spline for a few days, give it a good soaking every day. Took me 2 hours to do the pitman arm and about 1 and half for the idler.

All in all, wasn't too bad, cost me about $125-$150 to do it myself, that includes parts, a pitman arm puller, can of WD 40 and a square head 5lb mall hammer.
