Default Idler arm help

I'm trying my first idler arm replacement. The new one I bought has the 2 bolt holes 90 degrees off. Whats the trick to turn it to install. I first thought the auto store may have given me the wrong one but they swear its the right one. Any suggestions?

Take a pair of pliers and turn it to where you need it. Or you can stick a screwdriver in one of the holes and turn it that way.

I tried turning it with a screwdriver and vice grips and it does not budge.

Yeah, I could hold the end that goes to the steering linkage with my hands and turn the bolt end with a screwdriver. Maybe you got a bad one.

i second the vise. they are always stiff as heck until you move it for the first time, put the hole'ed part in the vise then smack the base with a hammer lightly it should move,
