Need help figuring out what size is rear axle

hey, thought i see if you guys know how i can figure out which rear axle i have, the 7.625 or the 8.5. thanks for the help

Most likely you have the 7.625" rear axle. A search or two will be quite helpful though. Google "GM Axle Identification" and then look under your truck.
