Default no 4hi

I have a 1995 blazer. Currently I have been having a lot of 4 wheel drive problems. it started when It wouldn't shift into 4hi and both lights would blink and then go back to 2hi. So i disconnected the battery for a while and fixed that. After I while, I went to check it again to see if it would still work Now when I press the 4hi button. Nothing happens. The lights won't even blink. But when I press 4lo in Neutral, It will blink and then shift into 4lo. After playing with it for a little, I somehow got it into 4hi. After getting it out, it won't shift back into it anymore.

Default RE: no 4hi

Try the OBD2 Non-Automatic Transfer Case Diagnostics found in the Tech Articles (DIY) section. If you are lucky and have a later model year 95, you may get this to work.

I won't be able to try anything till the weekend, but i was wondering if maybe the encoder motor is bad. Does that sound likely?
