outer tie rod boot?
2000 Blazer LT 4x4
Hello, I'm currently replacing my frontpassenger side wheel hub assembly, and I noticed the boot is ripped open on the outer tie rod, with grease leaking out. I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about steering linkage etc. I'm doing the hub replacement based off the tutorial I found here in the forum. Do I need to replace this tie rod at the same time? Does anyone know how it's done, or can someone suggest what to do? Thanks in advance.

While it is possible to just get the boots, you are likely to damage the tierod in the process of replacement unless you use the proper puller. You could get lucky and have it just pop out by removing the castle nut, flipping it over, and threading it on up until just before it gets flush then hitting the nut with the hammer.
