Default Tie rod replace

I am looking for a post that tells how to diagnose and replace bad tie rod ends.

My inner tie rods both have some play in them when you grab them they will "twist" in place....the outters dont move.....since they twist does that mean they need replaced? If so is, there a thread with replacement instructions with what tools are needed?

2001 Blazer 4x4

thanks!

Please do not double post...

By play, do you mean that they just twist or can you feel slop in the joint?

Default RE: Tie rod replace

Sorry about the double post....wasnt sure where to put it.

They twist in my hands when just bending my wrist if that makes any sense.
I jacked up the vehicle using the frame and the tire had slight movement at 3 and 9 oclock.....none at 6 and 12....anything else to check for?
The reason I even checked is only that it seems to be taking bumps a lot more roughly and I hear a slight rattle going over bumps.....no other steering linkage/parts moves when physically grabbing and trying to see if they move.
